Inaugural Women's Fashion Expo (Women's Health Screening Promotion)

The inaugural Women's Fashion Expo was held on 13th October 2017 at the Knox City Church.
During the day we had stalls that women were able to come and be pampered for free. This included hair styling by Premiere Hairdressing Academy, Fashion styling by Dress for Success, Makeup stalls, Pacific Stall holders displaying pacific style clothing and accessories. Sei Oriana from Auckland also attended and brought their flair and pacific fashionista design wear to purchase.
In the evening our local designers and models strutted on the catwalk their pacific collections and we also were privileged to hear stories of women that had been diagnosed with cancer, their treatment, successful outcomes, as well as the beautiful models that had lost loved ones but were representing them on that night.
We were honoured to have local talented performers from Little Saints TCH and GB brothers as well as a tribute dedication song performed by Pule Lemalu. Our special guest performer was
Vaniah Toloa who has had successful hits, one being "Samoa e maopo’opo mai" travel to perform on the day.
The entire evening was a great success with a fantastic turnout, live music, beautiful models, wonderful talented local designers and support from Regional Screening and the Cancer Society.
Thank you to everyone that attended and supported the cause. If you or someone you know that needs assistance to have their screening done, please contact our office as we have a monthly screening clinic by our resident nurse Melania or our Screening Co-ordinator Epi who can assist you by booking your appointments and transport.
