Primarily, the role involves implementing the ‘Aiga Centred’ (Family) model of care under our Family Wellbeing and Social service contract with Oranga Tamariki.

The role involves supporting high needs Pacific children and their families, working alongside our Thrivingcores Well Child service team to implement strength-based programmes that meet the client and family need.

While our preference is to engage a qualified Social worker, we would also welcome application from community workers with experience in navigation and client’s service facilitation to the most appropriate service available working closely with other service providers.

Full professional training will be provided including social worker and community worker registration support for practising certificate.

The Pacific Health Service Hutt Valley were delighted and honoured to present to Hon. Aupito William Sio, Minister for Pacific Peoples, and Hutt South MP Ginny Anderson when they visited Wainuiomata recently.

The politicians heard from three local initiatives that are focused on education, health and well-being and making a real difference in peoples lives, including the PHS.

Te Awakairangi Health Network Board and the Board of the Pacific Health Service today signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) setting out the intention of the two organisations to work together to improve the health outcomes for the Pacific people of the Hutt Valley.

This MoU builds on the collaborative work the two organisations have already undertaken together, and lays out the ways in which this work will be extended.
